Inspiring Forgiveness

A Conversation with Author Barbara Bonner

Monday, December 7, 7pm EST

Free & online! Registration required ~ click here to register.

Just in time for the holidays, and after a contentious national election, author Barbara Bonner will discuss and read from her latest book, Inspiring Forgiveness: Poems, Quotations and True Stories to Help with Forgiving Yourself and Others. This encouraging guide—her contribution to our sometimes angry and grudge-holding world—is interactive, with participants encouraged to ask questions of Barbara during the program.

Inspiring Forgiveness features twelve true stories of people—from the Dalai Lama and the late Congressman John Lewis to writers Margaret Atwood and Mary Oliver and more—who have endured great pain at the hands of others and have found a way to open themselves to forgiveness in its many forms. Each story is followed by extraordinary poems that speak to forgiveness as well as a collection of over 100 inspiring quotations.

“Barbara Bonner has created a gem in her collection of poetry, quotes, and stories all meant to inspire us on our path towards understanding and achieving forgiveness.”
~Sharon Salzberg, author of Lovingkindness and Real Happiness

“I knew that this book would be inspiring because all of Barbara Bonner’s books are. But I had no idea that it would take us down into the gnarly details of the process of forgiveness. Let’s face it; forgiveness is the hardest thing. And Bonner helps us understand how to actually DO it in even the most difficult of circumstances. She does not shrink from the tough stuff. I adore this book, and will, quite simply, spend the rest of my life digesting its wisdom.”
~Stephen Cope, author of The Great Work of Your Life

Barbara Bonner is the author of Inspiring Generosity (2014) and Inspiring Courage (2017).
