T106 | Photography: Perfect Your Pictures | Doug Robbins
Closed Limit Reached What can honest reflection on aging, dying, and death do to help us understand the human condition and to live more meaningful, memorable, even admirable lives? Through readings, guest speakers, and class discussions we will consider how different societies, cultures, religions and thinkers approach living longer and death and dying. |
Join Doug Robbins for aseries of three classroom sessions and two field workshops. Come prepared to enjoy capturing images and learn in the process! This will be an engaging course of classroom study followed by practicing techniques on field trips. The material covered will encompass both fundamentals and advanced techniques. Each field workshop will be followed with a class discussion. We will explore together what worked and what didn’t – and more importantly – how to improve the process of creating your perfect pictures. The object is to better capture photographically what the mind sees! Open to all levels but students must have a manually adjustable camera. Sessions 1, 3 and 5 will be in the classroom. Sessions 2 and 4 will be in the field. For the field sessions, folks will need to be able to walk over uneven ground and stand (or bring a portable seat) for the 90-minute class. Doug Robbins founded and ran an advertising content production company specializing in film, video, visual effects, animation and stop motion for over thirty-five years. For the past several years he has mentored startups through 1Berkshire and has taught photographic techniques through OLLI. |
