There have been generations of great classical music. But what about the classic music of what Tom Brokaw called The Greatest Generation. We are talking about the Big Band Era. We will explore the musicians and the music of groups such as Bunny Berigan from the 20’s, through Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, the Dorsey brothers, and so much more. We won’t forget the vocalists who performed with these bands: Martha Tilton, The Andrew Sisters, Helen Forest, The Modernaires, and more.

Ken Stark is active in the Berkshires community, serving on multiple Boards of Directors including for 18 Degrees (formerly Berkshire Children and Families), the Berkshire Bach Society, and the Berkshire Theatre Group.  He is also on the Advisory Committee for Kids4Harmony.  He is a former professor at the City College of New York and school psychologist for the NYC Department of Education.
