Where is wisdom to be found? In this course, we will explore how various disciplines answer this question. What positives and negatives do they present? What can we learn from each? The course will be part lecture and part discussion.

We may not solve all the world's problems, but we will have fun trying.

  • Class Three: Religion
  • Class Four: Capitalism
  • Class Five: Philosophy

Larry Goldberg holds degrees from the University of Rochester and the University of Miami and also spent one year at the University of London King's College. He has taught philosophy, the arts, and history at BCC, Southern Vermont College, and MCLA. His paintings and photos have been shown at the Milne Library, the North Adams Co-op Gallery, the Intermodal Gallery and the BCC Orchid Show. He ran his own business in Williamstown for 18 years and has been investing in the stock market for over 50. Larry lives in Williamstown, where he grew up. He has over 200 orchids and other houseplants and breeds African cichlids and plecos. He is currently an adjunct professor at BCC.
