W107 | The Artful Plate| Audrey Shachnow
Postponed till Spring |
It goes without saying that our relationship with food goes far beyond our daily bread. The Artful Plate is a design course about how to think about what makes food - no matter how simple - look delicious and inviting, and above all, how to enjoy making that happen. This course is not about cooking and recipes, it is a course about how to have fun with flowers, fruits and vegetables, table settings and atmosphere in creating meals that nourish all our senses. Audrey Shachnow is a lifelong artist with 25 years in graphic design, specifically on magazines such as Rolling Stone, New York Times Sunday Magazine, and children's magazines at Scholastic. Harriet Wetstone is a retired psychologist and avid amateur musician. She loves the idea of harmonizing color and texture and flavor. |
