This course is offered online via the free, easy-to-use Zoom program.

Using photographs and maps, this course will focus on the use of tactical and strategic deception during the course of World War II.  With particular (but not exclusive) attention on deception practiced by the British and Americans, we will examine the theory and practice of deception (when the war began, no one knew how to carry out successful deception – it took time to learn) and the various amazingly creative means of deceiving your foe on tactical and strategic levels, with special attention on double agents (some had Hollywood-like careers) and counterfeiting.  There will be some opportunities for interactivity.
