Chess Shared Interest Group- General Interest Meeting

Interested in chess?  Looking to learn chess or play with experienced players in the Berkshires and beyond?  This OLLI Shared Interest Group (SIG) might be just what you have been waiting for.  This mentally stimulating, strategic game can be a great workout for your brain and this group will help you get the most out of it.  All levels of skill are welcome.

Our first meeting will be on Zoom on Monday, January 10^th at 3pm EST to establish how many people are interested and discuss the best way forward, including:

• How many people would be interested in a chess shared interest group
  
• The levels of experience of those who are interested
• Content of sessions (training and/or play)
• Live play or at player discretion (ala chess.com)
• Frequency of live play
• In person and/or online
• Preference (or no preference) for meeting venue (Zoom and/or in person)
• Interest in education and, if so, at what level
