The nineteenth century was dominated by the French Revolution, its aftermath and the figure of Napoleon. The twentieth century was dominated by the Russian Revolution and the figure of Stalin. This course will trace Stalin’s beginnings, his turbulent rise to power, his grip on power, and his unbelievable close. Our discussion will illustrate why the past is called His-story.
