Enjoy the benefits of nature and physical activity while walking 2-4 miles through scenic meadows and on woodland trails. Learn how to be comfortable on the trail and notice the wildflowers, trees, birds and animals of our diverse ecosystems. Learn to appreciate our outstanding natural Berkshire surroundings. Participants must be moderately fit, wear sturdy walking shoes, may use hiking poles, and be capable of walking 2-3 miles on uneven ground. Lottery instructions on page 14.
Elizabeth (Bess) Dillman is a certified Appalachian Mountain Club hiking leader, guiding hikes in the Berkshires since 2007. Over the years, she has led more than 300 hikes. Safety and a pleasurable experience for all participants are her top priorities.
