  25th Anniversary OLLI COOKBOOK!

As part of our 25th anniversary celebration in 2019, we’re hoping to warm the hearts and whet the appetites of our OLLI community with a collection of favorite recipes from our members.

Let’s strike while the iron is hot!  The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on food we’ve prepared for friends and family throughout the year which everyone has especially appreciated. Share your favorite recipes with us from your cookbooks, your index cards, your newspaper clippings, your imagination.  Imagine seeing your name transported to a wider world through the magic of print as you share your personal gustatory pleasures!

We encourage multiple submissions in a wide variety of categories.  But do keep in mind some basic criteria:

  • Distinctiveness:  Unusual, or familiar-but-with-a-twist (your special take.)
  • Ease of preparation: Nothing too long or complicated.
  • Healthy if possible: No poutine!

ALSO #1:  We might include commentary/anecdotes/ experiences related to your recipes, as a way of giving readers a taste of your personality. Feel free to share stories - the origin or occasion of a recipe, etc.

ALSO #2: If you'd like to volunteer to test recipes, let us know who you are and what you would like to do! Testing will commence in February.

Please send all communications – recipes, inquiries, commentary – by email with the subject line COOKBOOK to our volunteer editor/coordinator, Carolyn Fabricant, at carolynfab@aol.com.  She will respond speedily.

We know this production will make us proud if our members show enthusiasm. We hope you will! Think delicious. Happy cooking, everyone!
