OLLI at BCC Oral History Project

Looking back fifty years, how did the events of 1968 shape your life?  Do you have a story to share?

As part of OLLI at BCC's University Day, 1968: Fifty Years Later, on Tuesday, August 14th, OLLI will be working with the Housatonic Heritage Oral History Center and the University of Massachusetts Special Archives to interview ten OLLI members about their memories of key events in 1968.  If you participated, or those events changed your life and your view of the world, we would like to know. By sharing your stories, we will capture those memories of a tumultuous year and reflect on how the events of 1968 shaped the lives of OLLI members.

If you would like to participate, please email us at olli@berkshirecc.edu with a summary of your story (or stories) by Friday, July 13.

You will be notified by July 20 if you have been selected to share your story and interviews will then be scheduled on or around August 14th.  All interviews will be shared with the University of Massachusetts Special Archives and Housatonic Heritage.  The audio recordings of the interviews will also be shared on the OLLI website and Facebook pages.

We hope to hear YOUR story!
